First Process Tower is delivered to the new site of Replan

• In the total are four equipment: three large-sized and another small-sized equipment.

Asvotec delivered in June to Replan - Refinaria de Paulínia - the first of a series of four Process Towers - HDT of diesel which is being manufactured in Monte Mor.  The equipment has approximately thirty meters length, 1,7 meters of internal diameter and it weighs 24 tons. The another three equipment are being manufactured and the delivery terms is foreseen for the second semester.

"We are proud of manufacturing a large-sized equipment, with high technology, and also because we are the first company to deliver it to the new plant", said the commercial director, Mr. Christian Mader. The negotiations for the manufacturing of these towers were made in April 2011, with the company Galvão Engenharia, which is the company responsible for the new site of Replan. The production started in September.

The new equipment has outstanding designs, three are large-sized equipment, with about 65, 60 and 56 tons and the another is a small-sized equipment, with 24 tons. All of them have a vacuum system and internal trays in stainless steel.  The first tower had its internal part totally assembled at Asvotec and it was transported to the site in Paulínia, in order to speeding up the equipment's final assembly at Replan.

This was an important differential offered to the customer by Asvotec , as until now it delivered the internals already assembled for towers with small diameters, with approximately 950 millimetres. The assembly is usually performed by the customer after the tower's erection.

Process towers are traditional equipment of the company's product portfolio, but the difference in the new models is the dimensions relatively large and assembly of trays by Asvotec itself. According to Christian, the Replant plant received also national and imported equipment such as pressure vessels, furnaces, heat exchangers, among others. Replan is the higher Petrobras' oil refinery.
